Simon Weston CBE, survivor and veteran of the 1982 Falklands War was in Petersfield on 1 May 2019 to give the annual Grill Lecture at Churchers College.

Simon served on the RFA Sir Gallahad during the conflict between Argentina and Great Britain in 1982. When the ship was was bombed he suffered 46% burns.

He has become an inspiration to many for his approach to survival and recovery.

In his Grill Lecture, Simon Weston spoke about courage in the face of adversity and self-acceptance.
