Pelvic floor health workshop
Saturday 24 October @ 08:30 - 10:15£10
Pelvic Floor Health
Up to 50% of women in the UK have some degree of prolapse and 10% of women in the UK will need a surgical procedure for this. Re-operation rates are high (19%) (statics from NICE, 2019).
The pelvic floor is part of our core musculature. It is relevant for men and women of all ages to learn about, and to train, their pelvic floor, because symptoms of a weak pelvic floor can affect quality of life, for example: back pain and hip pain as well as leakage, urgency and bowel problems.
My message to people of all ages is: it takes three months of daily exercise to develop your best pelvic floor. What better gift to yourself during this time, while we are all at home more, than to learn how to look after your pelvic floor? By next Spring, with just a few minutes of correct exercise each day, you could have your best pelvic floor and enjoy the quality of life associated with that.
I am a Pilates teacher in Petersfield and online. I am accredited with Polestar Pilates, a world-wide organisation, and my first degree is in Biological Natural Sciences from Cambridge University.
If people would like to join the workshop they just need to email me: email@example.com and I will send them the Zoom link. It costs £10.
